Blog Post #1 "Unpacking your Social Injustice" Instructions

DIRECTIONS:

1. Students will work in pairs to gain a better understanding of their social injustice.  Each pair should complete one of the following tasks:

Your post should include a synthesis of the the following information:

·      Provide an overview of the problem on a local level. Please be sure to include statistics.

·      Provide an overview of the problem on a global level. Please be sure to include statistics.

·      Provide an overview of what is currently being done to alleviate the problem.  Use the efforts of your selected agency for the Community Service Learning day (St. Anthony's, InnVision Shelter Network, The Boys and Girls Club of the Peninsula, or Golden Gates Parks Conservatory) as one example.  Don’t copy and paste the mission of your selected agency. Research their approach and include details as well as statistics.

·      Find a one more organization that works to combat your selected social injustice and analyze their approach. Don’t copy and paste the mission of your selected agency. Research their approach and include details as well as statistics.

·      Find relevant articles and videos to share with the community.
